Prevention and Youth Support Volunteer
Job Summary:
Volunteers for Prevention Youth Services at Community Partnership of the Ozarks support a variety of community-based prevention initiatives. Opportunities are located throughout our 21-county service region, with tasks taking place at the CPO office, community event locations, and partner sites. Volunteers may assist with assembling home safety kits, data entry projects, and participating in coalition- and community-led events. Event tasks may include setting up and tearing down resource tables, distributing prevention materials, and engaging with the public.
Reporting Structure:
This volunteer position works directly with Prevention Resource Center Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble and organize home safety kits (may include lifting and moving boxes)
- Enter data from surveys, forms, or other tools into computer systems
- Assist with event setup, including arranging tables and displaying materials
- Distribute educational and prevention resources to the public
- Support event clean-up and packing of supplies
- Represent CPO in a positive and professional manner during community events
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds
- Reliable transportation to various event locations (if volunteering at events)
