Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness (OAEH) Support Specialist (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
The Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness (OAEH) Support Specialist is a part-time position, providing direct support for OAEH committees and subcommittees.
Evaluation:
The Vice President of Affordable Housing and Homelessness Prevention, following adopted policies and practices of Community Partnership of the Ozarks, evaluates the OAEH Support Specialist.
Reporting Structure:
The OAEH Support Specialist reports to the Vice President of Affordable Housing and Homelessness Prevention.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists OAEH collaboratives and subcommittees create and implement annual action plans to accomplish goals set in OAEH Strategic Plan;
- Works alongside Chairperson(s) to recruit agency and professional members;
- Works alongside Chairperson(s) to continually gather input from “grassroots citizens” for collaborative decision making;
- Assists in preparing agendas and meeting minutes and sends meeting notices as directed via e-mail;
- Develops correspondence in the form of e-mails, letters, memos, meeting notices, etc. for program staff as directed;
- Attend OAEH committee meetings providing appropriate staff input;
- Compiles and maintains RSVP lists for meetings, events, or other activities as directed;
- Works alongside Chairperson(s) to establish and maintain information systems, databases and distributions lists;
- Submits monthly in-kind reports;
- Participates in CPO’s resource development/fundraising activities;
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Internet;
- Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds essential;
- Time management and organizational skills are a must in order to handle multiple tasks with various priorities;
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Must be reliable and punctual;
- Must be detail oriented and accurate;
- Must demonstrate strong computer and typing skills as well as written and oral communication skills;
- Must demonstrate in a professional and friendly manner when interacting with colleagues, committees/task forces, clients, and the general public;
- Must be able to effectively communicate the mission and work of the Community Partnership of the Ozarks, Inc. and the Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness.
Position Clarification:
The position of OAEH Support Specialist is a grant-funded position and is based upon funding availability. The job duties are subject to change, based on the funding requirements. This is a non-exempt, part-time position. Grant funding dictates the pay range for this position. CPO receives federal grants and contracts and therefore must comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
