Job Summary:


This professional position is responsible for coordinating the Prevention Resource Center (PRC) contract and related grants/subcontracts, providing supervision of staff within those grants/contracts, and maintaining contract compliance with the Missouri Division of Behavioral Health (DBH). Other responsibilities include representing Community Partnership of the Ozarks (CPO) at meetings and conferences and maintaining project records and other documentation as required by contracts and/or CPO Management.

Evaluation:


The Vice President of Prevention and Youth Support, following adopted policies of Community Partnership of the Ozarks, evaluates the Prevention Resource Center Director.

Reporting Structure:


The Prevention Resource Center Director reports to the Vice President of Prevention & Youth Support.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Represent CPO at meetings and conferences;
  • Develop PRC Strategic Work Plan and ensure its successful implementation each year;
  • Maintain positive relationship with DBH staff and partner agencies;
  • Maintain compliance with prevention standards for DBH certification;
  • Provide monthly reports to the CPO Board of Directors;
  • Supervise PRC and other prevention program staff;
  • Provide consultation utilizing the Strategic Prevention Framework to individuals, organizations, coalitions and other collaborative partners;
  • Actively seek out new resources and collaborative opportunities for prevention efforts;
  • Develop and conduct education programs and workshops;
  • Participate in CPO’s resource development/fundraising activities;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, education, social work or a related field, Master’s preferred;
  • Experience with substance use/misuse prevention services preferred;
  • Ability to make professional presentations on substance use/misuse-related topics;
  • Proven written and oral communication skills;
  • Experience working with collaborative partners;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Leadership ability;
  • Committed to prevention through a collaborative approach;
  • Excellent computer skills;
  • Ability to relate to and work with varied populations and demographics;
  • Ability to prepare and maintain program budgets.

Position Clarification:


The position of Prevention Resource Center Director is grant-funded and is based upon funding availability. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Grant funding dictates the pay range for this position. CPO receives federal grants and contracts and therefore must comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
