Job Summary:


Site Coordinators primarily work at our tax clinics from February 1st – April 15th assisting taxpayers by completing quality reviews for tax preparation, solving advanced tax issues, and working with the IRS to establish and maintain compliance with IRS standards. Previous experience as a VITA Volunteer, CPA, Tax Attorney, or other applicable experience is preferred. An ability to assist our tax clients with dignity and respect is required. Site Coordinators are trained by CPO and must certify with the IRS through open-book certification exams found on Link and Learn. (https://www.linklearncertification.com/).

Reporting Structure:


Point of Contact – Director of Financial Stability Programs

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Attend Training
  • Obtain Certifications
  • Travel to and from tax clinics in Springfield, Missouri (mileage reimbursement included)
  • Safely store and transport equipment and electronics
  • Set up and take down tax clinics
  • Manage volunteers
  • Greet clients and assess applicable paperwork and documentation for tax situation
  • Perform quality review for volunteers along with solving complex tax issues
  • Securely transport documentation to CPO employees

Essential Qualifications/Skills:


  • Ability to serve all clients with dignity and professionalism
  • IRS Certifications (CPO will provide training and materials)
  • Transportation to and from training and tax clinics
  • Proficiency working with computers/technology
  • Ability to transport and safely store equipment and electronics
