Prevention and Youth Support Volunteer

Volunteers may assist with assembling home safety kits, data entry projects, and participating in coalition- and community-led events. Opportunities are available across our 21-county service area.

Groundskeeping and Facilities Maintenance Volunteer

The groundskeeping and facilities maintenance volunteer supports the maintenance of the CPO Main office and the green spaces at 330 N. Jefferson Ave.  This volunteer position will be responsible for cleaning, sanitation and beautification of the facility as needed.

Receptionist Volunteer – CPO Main Office

This volunteer position will be responsible for greeting guests, providing information and navigating guests to the correct staff as well as answering and routing phone calls to appropriate staff.

VITA – Financial Guide Volunteer

Financial Guides provide professional greeting services to prepare them to meet with the Tax Preparers at VITA Clinics.  Year-round tax preparation is offered with most clinics occurring between February 1st, and April 15th.

VITA – Tax Preparation Volunteer

Tax Preparers provide professional tax preparation services to VITA Tax Clients at no charge.  Year-round tax preparation is offered with most clinics occurring between February 1st, and April 15th.

VITA Volunteer – Site Coordinator Volunteer

Site Coordinators primarily work at our tax clinics from February 1st – April 15th assisting taxpayers by completing quality reviews for tax preparation, solving advanced tax issues, and working with the IRS to establish and maintain compliance with IRS standards.

Neighborhood Clean-Up Volunteer

This volunteer position provides support to neighborhood clean-ups where residents can dispose of items they typically cannot, such as bulky household items, yard waste, and electronics, at no cost to them. Support beautification efforts across registered neighborhoods and help bring a sense of pride to the community.

Crisis Cold Weather Shelter Volunteer

Volunteers are critically needed for a variety of roles with Crisis Cold Weather Shelter sites: staying at shelters overnight, helping to prepare and serve meals, delivering supplies, and transporting pets.
