Double Up Food Bucks allows SNAP users to double their SNAP dollars, up to $25 per market day, on the purchase of fresh produce at Springfield farmers’ markets. This allows you and your family to get twice the amount of fruits and vegetables. This program supports healthy eating, local farmers, and the local economy. Community Partnership provides program oversight and coordination of Double Up Food Bucks Springfield. Double Up is a national program through the Fair Food Network and is funded through a USDA Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program grant.

How does the program work?

Each farmers’ market has a Market Hub where EBT card benefits can be exchanged for tokens to be used on any eligible SNAP items at the market. When you swipe your EBT card, you will receive a matching amount of Double Up Food Bucks tokens, up to $25 per market day, that can be applied towards the purchase of fresh produce.

 

Where can I use Double Up tokens?

Tokens received at any Springfield farmers’ market can be redeemed at any one of the three markets located in Springfield.

What can I buy at the farmers’ market?

Is there a limit to how much I can spend each market day?

There is no limit on the amount of SNAP benefits you can use with your EBT card. Double Up Food Bucks tokens are limited to a maximum dollar match of $25 per market day.
