Generation Rx Training
Community Partnership offers Generation Rx training, which aims to educate people of all ages about the potential dangers of misusing prescription medications, how to safely use, store, and dispose of medications, and important drug refusal skills for youth. There are age-specific trainings for elementary, middle and high school students, as well as parents and older adults.
Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Administration (OONA) Training
Community Partnership offers the OONA training in order to educate participants on the current opioid crisis, how to recognize an opioid overdose, and how to administer naloxone in the event that someone has overdosed.
Realtor and Veterinarian Presentations
Community Partnership offers two presentations that are intended to educate realtors and veterinarians about the opioid issue and how they can assist in the prevention of medication misuse. Many do not realize that these two professions have a direct connection to the opioid crisis, as those who seek to access medications for misuse or distribution may bring injured pets to multiple veterinarians or go through open houses or listed showings in order to steal medications from those homes. The presentation provides education on the opioid issue as well as recommendations to realtors and veterinarians on how to help increase barriers for drug-seeking individuals.
Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) Presentation
Community Partnership offers two presentations on the topic of PDMPs. The first is for the general community to help raise awareness about the PDMP process, what it means for healthcare consumers, and how the process works for providers/prescribers. The second is for healthcare providers/prescribers to educate them on how to access the local Greene County PDMP (and other counties that have passed PDMPs).
