HUD Continuum of Care Special Opportunity for Unsheltered Homelessness NOFO

NOTICE: OAEH HUD Continuum of Care Public Posting & New Project Letters of Intent for FY2025

In response to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), the Springfield/Greene, Christian, and Webster Counties Continuum of Care (DBA Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness – OAEH) has released the Public Notice of Funding Opportunity, local competition timeline, and New Project Letters of Intent for the FY2025 – FY2026 HUD Continuum of Care Grant.

Any New Project must submit Letters of Intent to the CoC Lead Agency, the City of Springfield, by 12:00 p.m. (NOON) on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. The Intent to Submit may be delivered in person to 840 N. Boonville, 2nd Floor Planning Department, ATTN: Bob Atchley or emailed to batchley@springfieldmo.gov.

HUD has released a first-of-its-kind Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to address unsheltered homelessness. Through this special NOFO, HUD will award funding to communities to implement coordinated approaches, grounded in Housing First and public health principles, to reduce the prevalence of unsheltered homelessness, and improve services, health outcomes, and housing stability among highly vulnerable individuals and families. HUD expects applicant communities to partner with health and housing agencies to leverage mainstream housing and healthcare resources.
The Springfield/Greene, Christian, and Webster Counties Continuum of Care (DBA the Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness-OAEH) is eligible for the Unsheltered Homelessness Set Aside with a maximum award amount of $1,087,968.

The Springfield/Greene, Christian, and Webster Counties Continuum of Care (DBA The Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness-OAEH) is seeking project applications for eligible project types in response to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Continuum of Care Special Opportunity for Unsheltered Homelessness (NOFO).

Mandatory Training:

In order to assist agencies with new project applications, the Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness will host a MANDATORY virtual application training on July 29, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00am.
